1. In what ways does your media
product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
Introduction
The typical codes and conventions of a thriller are low lighting, fast cuts, a variation of shots including action shots (e.g weapons). Also a variety of camera angles e.g close up's, tilts, long shots, medium shots. The use of enigma codes and conventions and also non-digetic and digetic sound.
Use Of Titles
In our production of 'Intrusion' we used a few types of text in our production including who it was filmed by, who monitored the sound, what our production company is called, who it was edited by, who it is starring and finally what our film is called.

Mise-en-scene
In the production of 'Intrusion' we used quite a few props such as letters, a hairdryer, teddy's, picture of the girl, a mirror, brush, lamp and a tablet. We used these props to make the setting of our production to look like a teenage girls room who Harry(the protagonist) was stalking. Harry was dressed relatively normal he was wearing a black coat, skinny grey jeans, grey shoes and a hat. We chose these clothes because we thought that they looked quite dark and creepy.
Titles
When it came to deciding the titles for our production of 'Intrusion' we knew that titles were extremely important in the thriller genre, well in any genre really, so we had a look around 'Imovie' but couldn't find one that we liked;
so then we created a title on photoshop and thought it looked really good so we decided to keep it. Here is the title that we picked;
Use of narrative
Our media production of 'Intrusion' uses many codes and conventions of the thriller genre, we have interpreted some these from the hit T.V series called 'The Fall'.
'Intrusion' follows a teenager who is stalking a girl which he is desperately in love with, it follows him as he finds her house, goes inside and leaves her a special present on her bed, we took this idea from the hit T.V series called 'The Fall' in one episode where the actor Jaime Dornan placed underwear on the bed belonging to the woman that he is stalking. In our film the main character Harry places one of the girl's dresses on her bed and on top of that dress he leaves a ring and a bunch of newspaper letters that he had cutout spelling the three words "I LOVE YOU" and a ring which he leaves as a special present, which we thought would be quite creepy and spine tingling.
